This Reindeer shirt with Amanita Muscaria pattern is my original hand-drawn design.

After doing some research (it’s a sort of hobby/habit of mine) on the wondrous Amanita Muscaria (Fly Agaric) mushrooms, I found some interesting theories about the connection between those magical little guys and stories of flying reindeer.  Many of the shamanic cultures that practice the use of Amanita muscaria mushrooms are also reindeer herders.  The reindeer are involved in the mushroom taking process which is, according to one theory, is the origin from which the flying reindeer legends arose.  Clearly, the mushrooms did not actually make any reindeer fly. In fact, it is really uncertain if it made people think they saw them fly either but it was enough to inspire me to get out some watercolor paper and draw this reindeer shirt design.

The original drawing is done in acrylic ink. The shirt (like my others) is screen printed by me using the most environmentally friendly professional inks and methods available.

This design is printed on an amazingly comfortable 3/4 sleeve raglan triblend unisex t shirt. You won’t believe the feel!
